Privacy policy
The short version
- There is no account. You never give us your name, email or any other details to play.
- Your progress is saved only on your device. We don't run servers that receive it.
- The app has no analytics or tracking of its own.
- Videos only play when you choose to watch one for an extra hint. They come from Google AdMob, which collects some device data to deliver them, as explained below.
Who we are
Connect the Light is made by Infocrud. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@infocrud.com.
Information stored on your device
To remember your place, the app saves the following in your device's app storage:
- which levels you have completed, your stars and your best move counts;
- the puzzle you left unfinished, including its moves and remaining free hints;
- how many hints you have used;
- your settings, such as haptic feedback and your daily reminder choice and time.
This information is never sent to us. You can erase it at any time with Settings → Reset all progress in the game, or by uninstalling the app. Your device's own backup service may include app data in its backups, under that service's settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Each level includes 3 free hints. After that, you can choose to watch a short rewarded video to get one more hint. The app has no banner, pop-up or full-screen ads, and a video only plays after you tap Watch ad.
The videos are provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To make this work:
- When the app opens, it asks Google whether a consent form is needed where you live, shows that form if required, and then starts the Ads SDK.
- When you are down to your last free hint, the app may load a video in the background so it is ready if you ask for one. Nothing plays unless you choose to watch it.
Google may collect information from your device to deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud. This can include your IP address (and the approximate location derived from it), device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID, device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostic data. Google handles this information under its own policies; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Consent. In regions where it is required, such as the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form lets you choose how ads use your data. You can change your choice later with Settings → Ad privacy choices in the game.
- Advertising ID. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's settings (usually under Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads).
- iPhone and iPad. The app does not ask for permission to track you, so ads on iOS are served without Apple's advertising identifier.
- Skip ads entirely. Ads are never required to play. Every level can be finished without them.
Permissions
On Android, the app requests internet and network-state access so the optional videos can load, and the advertising ID permission used by the Ads SDK. Puzzles themselves work offline.
When you first open the game, it asks for permission to send notifications, for an optional daily reminder to play. Reminders are scheduled by your device itself; nothing is sent to us or anyone else. The app also uses the startup permission so it can restore your reminder after the phone restarts. You can change the reminder time or turn it off with Settings → Daily reminder in the game, or block notifications in your device's settings.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your information, and we do not receive or share personal information ourselves. The only third party involved is Google, as described above.
Children
Connect the Light is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have concerns about a child's use of the app, contact us.
This website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
Changes to this policy
If the app or this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
